I have MB .357 158gn bullets that I am interested in using in .38 special loads. Will the 18 bhn be too hard for .38 speeds. Any leading issues? Any suggested loads?

If the bullets are a close fit with the chamber throats?
And the gun isn't already prone to leading?

They should work fine.

But only by shooting some will you know for sure.

I can't begin to suggest any loads, because you failed to mention what bullet weight you have.

To get decent accuracy in my 357 I have to load them to +P levels, 5gr of 231 in a 357 case. Lighter loads don't shoot as well.

12 BHN would be better, but you might get by with them, as rcmodel posted.

I use the 158 gr Action in my 38sp that I shoot through a blackhawk without any issues. My load is 4 grs of HP38.
