Anyone have any experience using the .45 Button, 185 grain SWC, from the Missouri Bullet Company? I'm interested in load data and OAL. Thank you for the help!

I'm loading the 185 SWC fom MBC at 1.15 OAL for my Sig Sauer 1911.
I have used SR4756 and Titegroup . Better results with Titegroup.

I've gotten good accuracy from the "Missouri 185 grain Button" and 6.1 grains of HP-38 with an OAL of 1.114 out of my Ruger SR-45. The OAL may seem short to some but this Ruger doesn't feed handloads like it should as I think that the feeding ramp is too elevated. I also use a dedicated crimp on my .45ACP loads. As with any loading data, my suggestion is that you work up to this load with normal loading caution.

Loaded 10 rounds using 3.5 grains of Bullseye, CCI 300 primers and 1X range brass and OAL of 1.180". Shot them at the range yesterday. Sweet! I could have shot these all day long. Mild recoil. Fed perfect. Cycled the gun perfect. Ejected perfect. Shooting two-handed at 7 yds., and had nice, tight groups. Gonna make lots more! Won't change a thing! Thanks to everyone that replied with their advice.

Short-nose SWCs are usually loaded to 1.1455-1.1525" COL.
I have never found them to be as accurate as the long-nose H&G #68 clones. Bullseye, Red Dot and 231/HP38 are about the best powders.
So, if you must use 185gn lead bullets, I much prefer 185gn L-SWCHP from Zero.

Para Ordnance P12.45 Limited. It has a 3-1/2" barrel. Just finished seating bullets on another 22 rounds of the same.
