This from Brad:

I don't know what happened, but sales volume has ramped up precipitously over the past few weeks. As a result, given that we're not yet into anything near full production in our new facility (heck, we're still waiting on four new Bullet Masters and three new LubeMasters), we're not able to do the quick turnaround on most orders that we strive for. Lead times on shipping new orders is averaging about a week now, as we're nearly a half-million bullets out on current orders. We're still making a hundred thousand a day but selling near that number, too, so we just can't seem to get ahead of things. Be patient with us. We're doing the best we can.

Maybe many reloaders/family members/friends bought components for Christmas? I think demand for components may further increase as reloaders get back tax refund money and weather warms up for more people to get out to shoot more.

Keep in mind that record breaking gun sales took place the last few years and people are shooting those guns. In recent months, every time I go to the ranges (even in the middle of winter - but we are in sunny CA), I am shocked to see many huge mounds of brass on the range floor that staff barely has time to sweep aside and most of these are new factory brass.

When I talk to range staff, they can barely keep the shelves stocked with factory target/JHP ammunition as demand for them is still high (Walmart shelves are still cleaned out as soon as shipments arrive). While I wait in line to get an open lane to shoot, I see people talking about their new pistols with several boxes or range bag full of factory ammunition. Multiply this by several thousand for each city, now you can see the huge increase in demand for ammunition. (Thankfully, most of them don't reload and gladly allow me to pick up their once-fired brass).

If new gun owners can't find ammunition or don't want to spend the money for factory ammunition, they may turn to reloading. And I think this is the reason why reloading components have been hard to find or go out of stock so quickly.

At least the silver lining to the "component shortage" cloud and aggravation to us reloaders has been that domestic firearms/shooting accessories/reloading/components related industries and their families/employees have benefited with increased revenues and job creation.

I think Brad and JoAnn have "job security" for a little while longer. :D

Makes me happy to see all the new gun owners at the range. Every time I go in there is someone new looking at guns or asking about ccw or classes.

Like Heinz ketchup- MBC bullets are "worth the wait".

Could always take up some of the slack and cast your own ! I'm pretty sure Brad won't mind in the least.

I bought bullets from another company once. I smelted most of them down to make my own shortly after receiving them. There is no substitute for quality in lead bullets. If you have to buy, accept no poor bullets- get the best.

While I'm sure Brad and JoAnne have felt like they've been stuck on a madly spinning hamster wheel for the last year or so, I certainly am thrilled to hear of them selling 100,000 bullets a day and that their operations are expanding! Couldn't happen to nicer folks and I sure do wish them all the best as they grow their business.

I've been splitting my orders between MBC and Falcon Bullets. Falcon equals MBC in every way (quality, price, order processing speed). I like to spread my business around and give a smaller guy a chance to grow.

It's all you guys snowed in and early cabin fever with nothing to do but reload!:D

I've been reading about these projectiles. Can some of you share with me how they are a better quality product? What are the differences that you see and experience during reloading and shooting? Not arguing, just curious and value opinions from those with experience. Thanks

In my opinion (Ive ordered a little over 1500 so not too many) they have always shipped out fast, havent had a single issue with quality, they have been lubed nicely, and they are accurate as well as inexpensive. Thats enough for me :)

There is exactly one gazillion, billion threads on MBC (I counted them):D

Just do a search here on the forum, and the info you seek shall be revealed.;)

I agree with Sam. 100,000 bullets per day for one manufacturer is pretty impressive. It just goes to show how much the industry has expanded over the last few years of our current administration. I think it is hard to argue that guys are stock pilling bare bullets as much as just shooting them today.

I know I am looking at my current stash of MBC bullets and plan a major order around March. Kind of interesting to consider as I tend to order in the range of 20,000 bullets at a whack. I had not thought about that it might be several hours of production for all of MBC. Kind of puts it all in perspective.

I recently placed an order with MBC and I had the bullets at my doorstep within 1 week. That is more than acceptable. Even if I had to wait a month that would be OK because they make some quality stuff with very competitive prices.
