I am new to reloading and just bought a MEC 600 Jr. I am reloading once fired Remington STS 12 GA game load hulls. In station 1, depriming and resizing, the hull got stuck after derpiming and it was difficult to remove. Is there something I can do to remove the hull easier?

Also how many times can these hulls be reloaded? How do I know when not to reload them anymore?

I reload shotgun hulls until they won't hold crimp anymore, or until they start cracking.

As far as getting stuck in the depriming/resizing station, I've had a few that were hard to take off, but most seem to come right off. Not sure what the problem might be.

This might sting a little...

Please read a handloading manual. all these questions and more are answered in one of your reloading manuals. You do have a reloading manual, don't you?? If you can't find the answer, then read it again and again again. Back when I learned about 25 years ago (Wholey sheep dip, it's been 25 Years !!!) I learned one chapter at a time. It took me almost 2 weeks to load my first 50 rounds due to the fact that my Dad and Uncle would make me read a chapter (step in assembly) and give me a test and if I didn't pass the test, I would have to read the chapter over. a bit rough but I was a young punk back then and they wanted me to learn slowly, the right way.

How many times a hull can be loaded depends on the type of hull and the recipe you reload - hot or mild to all out wild.

lgb - thanks for the advice and I do appreciate your comments. I just got my loader last Thursday but I've been reading and asking questions about reloading for the last 2 months (websites, MEC reload manual, Lyman, Alliant recipes, gun club members, sales people at stores, etc.). I measured every load of powder for my first 25 shells.

I will reread the MEC manuals and see if it addresses my question.

I would suggest looking on the Mec website for information.
Without looking, I think the decapping stem is adjustable and is key to ejecting the case from the sizer.
Yes, read the Mec manual.

Yes it is adjustable.

Keep loading as long as the shot will stay in the shell, stop if the primer falls out. Or the body of the case gets a split. Or the brass/steel cracks.
