We need to hold the media accountable for their encouragement of mass shootings in schools. Every time an article or story is published linking school shootings and gun control, we need to add comments linking school shootings and media control. Use their own over the top coverage against them. When the Second Amendment is attacked, make the point that attacking the First Amendment is much more effective in this case.

Here is an article that I have written to educate others about this. There is no copywrite on it. Feel free to use it in any comments section of any article:

After all, the media has made the most money, in advertising, on this tragedy.

They have the most to gain on these events.

They also do the most towards planting the seeds of the next event.

You mass murder, you become famous.

It must, then, be reasonable to enforce rules limiting what can be said and the coverage of such events...right?

You make good points

A few years ago, a local radio host was trying to gin up support for gun control after a mass shooting. I said that the media was most responsible for making anti-heros out of the shooters. It stopped him dead in his tracks...

The Media is sensitive in this area. It is a way that we can point out their bias and culpability.

If we attach this idea to every media story about school shootings, they will lose interest. They cannot stand being criticised and told that they have blood on their hands.

Dean, the media doesn't care how many kids get killed.

Let me expand on that. The media doesn't care how many kids get killed as long as their agenda of a gun-free America is realized. Their theatrics have nothing to do with saving kids' lives. They sensationalize these shootings because they WANT MORE of them. Whatever it takes to get rid of the guns. Collateral damage is how they view the lost lives. Part of the price of achieving the "greater good".

Of course a gun-free America is a fantasy and would put law abiding citizens at the mercy of our government. They see no problem with that as they feel they're above the law. They'll be part of the ruling elite. THEY would have special permission to keep as many guns as they like and do what they want.

The rest of us will be SOL and that's how they want it...and government is on their side.

A gun is a great equalizer. It permits the small, weak, infirm, and slow nobody to defend himself against the predations of the big, strong, able, quick, and well connected. The media & political elites can't stand the thought that a Walmart shopper or a McDonald's customer with gun in hand might not have to bend to their will.

You are right. This is a way to educate the people who don't know

The MSM must die if the Republic is to live. They are dying now, losing viewership, marketshare and money, but they still had enough power to elect and reelect President Obama.

We need to build the new media and educate people about the old MSM. This is a way to do that.

Many seem to derive a peverse, almost sexual pleasure off of these stories. It is very romanesque in our downfall.
