Mepota scope question?

I recently bought this model scope from Eurooptic. It has the perfect reticle for me. Unfortunately the illumination feature didn't work (wouldn't stay on) and I returned it. The replacement they sent had the identical problem so returned it too. Then I bought one with the same reticle without illumination and it was so fine that it was almost invisible. Drat! So my question.
Have any of you guys bought this scope and it works? I'm wondering if Eurooptic got a bad batch or something. It still looks like the ideal reticle for me, but I'm hesitant to try it again. BTW, I've looked a numerous center dot scope like the Leopold Fire dot, but don't like them. Also, BTW, I have 4 other Meopta scopes that are great. Is it just my bad luck?

When you say that the illumination didn't work, what conditions were you trying it in? From what I remember, the illumination is pretty weak in those and you can only really see it in low light conditions.

From what I've seen, those have been good bang for the buck scopes.
 
The first one came on briefly and was clearly visible in my living room aimed out the window, then blinked off never to come on again. The second came on just fine and stayed on until I turned it off. Later, I turned it on again. clearly visible and bright...few minutes later it blinks off and would not relight. On neither occasion did Eurooptic look at it and say....hey it works fine. The darn things just did not function properly.
 
Id contact meopta directly and ask them if theres anything they can do about it.
I found them quite easy to deal with when trying to get parts for one of my scopes.
 
Perhaps no carryover to your particular problem but I had a very similar issue with a Sightmark.........aggravating as it was so intermittent. Traced the issue to a lack of ground on the battery cap. I managed to get some service after re tensioning the device but it was only finally solved by Sightmark replacing that cap.
 
i bought the meosport r, and illumination doesn't work until setting 5 or higher. I tried calling meopta several times but could never get anybody to answer the phone or call me back. I want to like meopta, but they are making it hard.
 
Good news! Meopta responded very quickly and informed me that the scope I want can be had for a 20% discount. I ordered it and saved $110 off the price I initially paid Eurooptic. Plus the respondent said he would personally test the new scope to make sure it works properly. The site-wide 20% discount would apply to any new scope, presently making the Meopta scopes a real buy.
