Im looking at installing a micro red dot to my AR15. As of right now the gun has a Leupold MK4 scope and I am thinking of using an offset mount to mount the micro dot.

Im looking at two different dots:

Primary Arms Micro Green Dot for $79

and....

the Sightmark Minidot is $99

Anybody have an experience with either of these? I know I know, but a Trijicon, but Im poor, so what is it gents? Im thinking the PWS because it is green and the rumor on the street is that green is easier to pickup in daylight and also Ive seen many folks using PWS products with pleasure.

Thanks.

Go with the Primary Arms. I have observed 2 of them in action over the past year (a M-3 clone and a T-1 clone) and they work perfectly. Also, Primary arms has a good reputation on AR15.com and m4carbine. net as far as CS is concerned.

If you are going to get an entry level Chinese made red dot, it pays to buy it from someone who will stand behind the product if it fails.

I agree with Steven58. Primary Arms does have a very good rep from what Ive noticed, think Ill go with them unless someone can sway me otherwise.

The two budget red dots I have researched that get good reviews are

Bushnell TRS-25

Leatherwood ES1X30TP

Reviews I have read on Sightmark are mixed and so so.

On the gun boards I keep hearing about Primary Arms so I will have to check that out too.
