I am thinking of buying a full auto Micro. Has anyone here that has owned one ever had problems with getting them to run well? Are they prone to any type of problems?

THanks,

Ric

They are prone to the "costs more than $15,000" problem. Good luck with that.

The place to get your FA UZI questions answered is over at:

www.uzitalk.com

Lot's of guys on that forum with experience with FA full-size, mini, and micro uzi's.

Do you have a specific gun lined up, or are you just wondering in general right now?

Good luck with that? If I wanted to, I could buy several right now. THey are running in the 8-9k range, fella.

I know of one micro here in my area at a class 3 dealer. It has the stock on it. I know of uzitalk, I just did not feel like registering over there. Anyone else?

It's worth the effort to reg over at Uzitalk if you are considering an Uzi. Seriously, you'll get better info there then over here (or pretty much anywhere else on the net).

I have no personal experience with the smaller size UZI's. If you wanted to talk about the full-size FA guns, then I could help.

I had one. Well, I still have it, it's just sitting in my safe waiting for the form 4 to clear so I can mail it off to the dealer who bought it. The only things wrong with it are:

1. It shoots really fast. ~1200 rpm with the open bolt, ~1800 rpm with the closed bolt. This may or may not be a problem with you. I liked shooting the closed bolt more, myself.

2. Every transferrable Micro is a converted Uzi pistol, and 99% of them still have the pistol sights installed. This isn't a big problem when shooting in full auto because you're pretty much just holding on for the ride but when in semi-auto it's hard to get the rear sight lined up properly because the pistol sights aren't designed to be held as close as they are with the gun shouldered. They're designed to be held further out at arms length. There was a guy on Uzitalk making repro Micro rear sights but I never got one because I was trying to sell my Micro and didn't want to spend more money on it.

They are prone to the "costs more than $15,000" problem. Good luck with that.
I sold mine for $8600, and that seems to be about average for Micro's right now.

Hm, last time I saw one for sale, a couple years ago, it was about twice that, while full size and Minis were going for about $6,000. Oh, well.
