Military Heritage- Firearms or finger eliminators?

I think it's a bit of a crap shoot as far as the quality on these. There's another importer or used to be called Veterans Arms? I don't know if there's any difference between the two of them. Maybe @Loyalist Dave will weigh in.

Veteran Arms, Loyalist Arms, Military Heritage and Middlesex are the ones I know of. I think they all come from the same supplier but I don't know for sure.

That's kind of what I figured, and I appreciate the responses. Guess I'll have to get a more legit Brown Bess repro and cut it down myself.

Easier said than done Hawg. Those India guns are all hand made with little to no standardized parts. I looked at finding a replacement lock for one, stuff was sorta close but not quite there. Between the cost of the lock, the labor involved in fitting it you would have more than enough to buy a new Traditions or similar name gun.

yeah but Traditions doesn't sell those style guns. Now if you just wanted a bp gun to shoot and didn't care what it was I'd say so.

All valid points, still a little bit of a roll of the dice getting a good functional lock. If it's possible to examine one in person before buying it would be a good thing.

As pointed out in an earlier post, many of the guns offered from India aren't reproduced anywhere else so if you want something odd and specific, India might be your only choice. I'd have to personally examine in detail any potential I was thinking of purchasing. And good luck swapping any parts in from anybody else or from the maker in India. Knowing the issues, you pays yer money and makes yer choice. Finger removers? Maybe. Spotty quality? Definitely.
