Milt Sparks Holster! But which one?

I have a glock 26 and I am looking for the best IWB holster for everyday concealed carry.

My search has brought me to Milt Sparks.

I have no experience with the company or the holsters. So I am making this thread to gather more information before I make my purchase.

Which holster should I get and why? Have any of you used or tried any of these holsters? If so what are your thoughts?

VM2 gets my vote. One of the best IWB holsters you can buy. The craftsmanship and attention to detail is first rate. I liked the ones I have had. Make sure you get a solid belt for it to ride on. A bad belt can make a great holster feel terrible.

Crossbreed is not made by Milt Sparks.

Another vote for the VM2. It's hard to find better IWB holster.

If you buy one from Sparks, it'll be summer before you get to enjoy it, but they're worth the wait.

The only complaint I've ever heard about Milt Sparks is the availability. I jumped on a VMII when I found one. Excellent holster.

Carried a 1911(government & commander) in a "summer special", and as far as IWB goes, it's the most comfortable I've used.

If you're considering the Versa Max II, check out the Mike's Special from TT Gunleather as well. I've heard that it's just as nice in terms of fit and finish but the wait time is much shorter.

I've got 5 or 6 different Sparks holsters. They're all top notch.


You need to think about how you want to carry it. A Glock is pretty thick, and I wouldn't like to have it shoved inside my pants all day long. If you're going to try that route, you might need to get pants that are a size larger.

I have an old, long discontinued Road Runner that I like the most, an outside the waistband model. The closest style they make to it now is the 60TK. Wearing a thick gun IWB for hours at a time gets uncomfortable.

If you do go that route, there's not much better than the Versa Max. I have a Heritage Limited, which is essentially a VMII with a waterproof lining, but that's a more expensive custom offering from them.

The VMII is the best IWB holster that I have tried, ( I have 4 ) but the last one that I got,took 9 months to get.

TT Gunleather makes a copy, with about a 5 month wait.

Just got a VMII

about a month ago. I love it. I also have a similar holster made by HBE. It does not have the reinforced mouth but is a bit more comfortable because it is more plyable.

I have had my horse hide with shark trim VMII for about 8 or 9 years now with a Milt Sparks belt.

Whether you get a Sparks holster or any other holster make sure you have a good solid belt/platform to hang it on.

I carry a P14-45 and at times I forget it is there.
I carry at 2:00-2:30, very comfortable.

I prefer the WS1, horsehide. They are very thin, stiff, comfortable
WS1 on the much thicker VMII

I just ordered the Milt Sparks Summer special 2 for the glock 26 from brownells.

I live in florida so it's pretty warm here most of the time. Hopefully it will be as good as the reviews. Thanks for the input everyone.

Lightening Arms has ceased their business relationship with Sparks. They have a few left in inventory. After that nothing more. I ordered directly from Sparks and it's a 30 week wait for a VMII. Worth it IMO.
