The Minox ZV3 3-9x40mm Rifle Scope is an excellent specimen of German engineering and design, built to stand up under even the most demanding circumstances. This rifle scope is built to last but made with only the most necessary features, making it the ideal entry-level scope.

With multicoated lenses and generous 4-inch+ eye relief, the Minox ZV3 3-9x40mm Rifle Scope helps you achieve quick and accurate target acquisition in any type of lighting. The addition of MOA elevation and windage adjustments makes this scope very versatile as well. Best of all, the lightweight aluminum body makes it completely waterproof and highly durable.
  • Outstanding optical performance and mechanics
  • Fully multi-coated lenses
  • 3x magnification
  • 1 inch tube
  • Lightweight aluminum body
  • Long, safe eye-relief
  • Reticle at the 2nd focal plane
  • Precise elevation and windage adjustment, as well as parallax adjustment (SF models)
  • Waterproof and nitrogen purged to prevent fogging
  • BDC Reticle

I highly recommend, the Minox ZV-3 ... 7mm RM and it has held up nicely.

It blows the Crossfire, Banner and ProStaff out of the water. It’s as good, possibly better than a Fullfield II or E1.
cdb1, so you will recommend this purchase? :D

I ordered 3 based on many positive comments.

Some are claiming they are on par or better than Bushnell Elite 4200 3-9x40mm?

Yes I recommend them. It’s been over a year but I had my SIL get one for his 7mm RM, based on info received from people whose opinion I trust. Camera Land still had them so I knew we could return it if he didn’t like it, as long as the scope hadn’t been mounted.

I was impressed with the scope when I mounted it and played around with it. I have an Elite 4200 3-9x40 on a .270 but it didn’t cross my mind to compare the two. For my eyes the Minox is better than a ProStaff, Fullfield or Diamondback. It was close to the VX-2 3-9x40 mounted on my son’s 30-06 - to my eyes. It may be different for someone else’s eyes.

SIL’s has duplex reticle and no parallax adjustment.

I had (Gave it to my son) an Elite 4200 3-9x40 (very nice) and if the Minox ZV3 3-9x40 is as good, it's a steal at that price.

I have a handful of Minox scopes. In general very good glass. My only complaint is their durability. I’ve had 2 fall apart. Front o-ring came out and the lensmoves around. Customer service replaced one and I still have the other in my shop. Both happened while on a hunting trip. I’m reluctant to take them far from home.

Several times I’ve run my ZV3 head-to-head with my VX-Freedom and it’s extremely close. The Leupold did better on washout with a full sunset facing West but that was its only significant edge. Minox had better windage tracking and turrets were more tactile.

Both the Leupold and Minox are 3-9 x and mounted on 6.5 Creedmoor rifles. Easily better color and clarity on both than my Nikons (which my eyes don’t mind despite their flaws) and a solid recommendation.
