This thread seems to have been started due to hearsay and not factual data. I will leave @greyling22's words intact - extensive editing of them would not be fair to him. But, be aware that MBC is not in dire straights according to a member of their management posting as @vlady (see that post on page 3).

My cousin placed an order with Missouri bullet company last week and spoke with the owner today. Owner said that was one of 3 orders he had had this month. Apparently nobody is buying bullets. Don't know if it's no primers, or nobody wants coated bullets, or what, but he says he's had to lay off most of his staff and may go under.

I've never bought bullets from Missouri, but you might give them a look if you need bullets. Sounds like they could use your business.

I hope they make it!

Lots of bullet makers, but not many primers, so I can see the market squeezing a lot of them till the primers (and the economy) come back.

The luxury markets are down all across the board, guns and reloading junk are just that and with inflation rapidly eating earnings and savings things like $150 primers and $100 per thousand bullets get left behind.

It's a terrible place to be I'm and I hope they get business as I have never ordered from them and would like to one day.

Last thing I bought from them was the plain cast & lubed 145gr .361” RN for .38S&W. Bought a thousand and still have 500. If you ever plan to load for that caliber, get some.

That stinks. It’s unfortunate for sure; however, for the prices we have all been complaining about, to fall, things have to get tough for sellers first.

I do hope they hang in there, I really like more choices!

I think I was one of those orders. Really liking the coated bullets. I don’t really have the other components to need more but I might have to get ahead on bullets because there are some I was planning on trying and I’d hate to miss out.

In September I order 1K, 500 coated SWC and 500 non coated SWC for my 40 S&W, hope Missouri Bullets survive. I have about 300 of each left, hope they pan out for me, target practice only!!

I ordered some 165 grain Whitetail #4 to try in my Marlin lever action and some 158 grain SWC for the 357 Blackhawk. I’ve wanted to try heavier cast projectiles for both so that works out.

I think we’re headed back to some really hard economic times and this is just the beginning of the end for small businesses in the firearm industry marketplace.

I'm new at reloading but I've bought most of my bullets from them and they were perfect. I'll get another order in as well. I hope they can make it through this dry spell.

Oh crap, they are local to me, just a few miles down the road. I need to swing by. The only thing I get from them are bullets for the 45-70, and I really don't "need" any. I do need to buy some....hope he can keep going.

Got the nickel tour a few years ago, interesting operation.

Oh No!!!!! Can’t stand to hear that!!!!!
I hope Jo Anne and her crew makes it! She’s (and her late husband) always been so nice to me!
I need a box of 9mm-115 RN right now.
I’ll check my stash and get a 4 box order out to them!
I pray God finds a way for them to survive!
