Are there any 1892 lever action clones, with pistol grips stocks, no safety besides half cock, that are on par with Browning/Miroku?

I have never held any Taylors/Uberti rifles.

Looking for one in 44 mag caliber. $1200 max price range???

Thanks

I can't stand the added tang safeties Winchester/Miroku added on their late rifles. Or the cross hammer block type safeties.

Uberti makes very nice repros. They probably make a version of the 1892 configured as you desire. I have several of their rifles (none as you describe) and they don't have lawyer safeties.

I have a Miroku 1892 deluxe takedown 1892 in .32-20 which is great. It does have that tang safety you hate. It doesn't bother me though. I also have a Miroku 1866 rifle in .38 special. That has no tang safety, but the firing mechanism has been modified with a funky inertia striker, which you don't notice much.

Pedersoli makes some 1892 .... but I've never actually seen one and don't know where they can be found.

IMHO Uberti is your best bet.

I'm not sure there is such a rifle produced beside maybe a pre tang safety Win-oku from the 2006 era?
Can anyone confirm they produced the model?
