I went to the Washington Arms Collectors show today in Monroe, WA, at the Evergreen State Fairgrounds. It was one of the smaller shows I've been to as far as floor space. I can't remember the ones from Arkansas that well, but the shows in NE Ohio took me several hours to go through all the tables. I had seen pretty much everything there was to see today in less than two hours.

I had one gun to sell and one to pick up. I was chafing a little bit at the WAC setup at first (only members can buy or sell at the show), but I have to admit now that I like it. The membership goes hand in hand with a background check. So I didn't have to worry as much about selling a gun to another WAC member, especially one that joined the same day I did. We're all WAC, so to speak.

There were quite a few AK clones there, even more than SKS's. The only one that interested me was a MAK90 sporter for less than $400. One gentleman had a really pretty S&W HE in .32 Long that I kept coming back to, but luckily I didn't bring any cash. ;) They had decent/good prices on ammo, and fair deals. (Except the guy asking $575 for a used Ruger PC9 w/o ghost ring sights, give me a break) Sorry if I missed any THR members. I was there later than I expected, and had to get back tonight for work. I'm looking forward to the next show in Puyallup!

Grimjaw, if you haven't been to the Puyallup shows -- they're much bigger than the Monroe shows (easier to get in and out as well, especially if you come off the 512). A few more actual firearms dealers, plus a few more usual vendors with good stuff (the Kramer holster table is a regular stop for me).

Did you check out the Bar-S Tru-Ivory grips table? Cool stuff.

The subscription to Gun News you get with WAC membership is almost worth the annual membership fee, too ...
