With packing.org gone its more difficult to find this information now a days. I know I could do a search and eventually gather all this information but would rather not. :)

Well I’m heading up to Montana for a 10 day vacation this Thursday and am planning on taking my Glock 20 10mm and Spyderco Civiliaan. The civilian if you not familiar with it has a 4 1/8th inch reverse “s” blade which is obviously not a utility knife. From what I’ve heard this knife is illegal in some states? Can any of you who live in these states shed any light on this?

I have a valid Florida resident CWP and will be visiting the states of Montana, Idaho, and Wyoming. In addition to Yellowstone and Glacier National Park I will be visiting various state and local parks as well. I know I can’t carry in Yellowstone or Glacier but what about other parks, BLM land, National Forests, ect?

As far as I can tell my CWP is valid in all three of these states. Is there anything except for the usual like bars, police stations and government buildings I should avoid?

Thanks, Dan

What are you asking? It sounds like you're asking if your FL CWP allows you to carry a knife in those states.

Are there actually two questions hiden in there?

#1 Would carry of either of my weapons be legal within state or local parks in any of these locations?

#2 Except for the usual places like bars, police stations and government buildings (basically places every state forbids CWP holders form carrying in) are there any other places I should avoid?

I really don’t know where I’m going when I get there other than the usual outdoorsy destinations. So I’m basically just looking for places either my gun, knife, or both would best be left behind.

Thanks, Dan

a little off topic, but if you are in Yellowstone.. push a bit north.. I never understood why a magnificent place like Bear tooth pass wasnt a national park !!!
