I have no doubts.
I'll take my '58.

It feels more sturdy with its top strap. The cylinder is easily removed to clean the cylinder pin and reduce or prevent binding from fouling build-up.

MY .36 Colt navy is my favorite. I used Remingtons for years mainly because a Remington was my first bp revolver but once I found Colt's the Remingtons fell by the wayside. I still have three Remingtons but they haven't been fired in years.

Ya just pull the hammer back, pull the trigger and they go bang (usually in one ragged hole!!). Just took them to the range today for testing purposes, +p's still put a smile on your face!!! With the newly installed '72 OT front sights, the POA / POI is the same !!.
Now, if I were shooting cap guns for cowboy, It'd be a pair of Remies (fully coil sprung including main). Mainly for ease of cyl. swapping when reloading.
If I shot cartridge, It'd definitely be the '60's . . . or maybe the Dragoons . . . hmmmmmm . . . ooooo k . . . . AAAAH, BOTH!!!

1860 Army for me. I can lube the Arbor and shoot all week long before cleaning.
My 1858 starts locking up quick.

Rather take a beating. But all would work as long as you don't shoot just to signal someone or chase off buzzards. Shoot one small deer and make jerky.
Nothing dangerous in my fields or woods.

For me it's the 1860 Colt Army. Mostly because I'm no longer a spring chicken (and haven't been for a while). The 1860s are light and I can still shoot them one handed.

It's a Walker all the way for me. Full house loads under a ball or conical, equal to having 6 rifle loads, close enough, don't care about the weight. It will take down anything this part of the country has to offer.

By just looking at them, the1858 has more strength due to the addition of a topstrap. An enclosed “box” is much less prone to fractures.
The Colt’s wedge is problematic also.
Plus the Remington is so much more user friendly due the simple and quick cylinder swap ability.

Simple reason, Ebay gets upset if you sell a functional gun. Doesn't matter if it's exempt from the feds or not. Same thing with Paypal. Both are pretty anti gun.

Ebay got to where they wouldn't allow gun parts at all until they figured out how much money they were losing. You still can't sell frames not even cap and ball frames.
