Does anybody have experience with the Mossberg .22 lever actions? I've been looking for a used lever gun and came across a 402 Palamino in 90% condition...really pretty little gun. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks

My brother had one when we were kids. He really liked it. The only problem he ever had with it was an occasional jam. You needed to work the lever to eject and chamber a new round deliberately as opposed to just slowly working the action... like you might to if you are trying to be quiet.

I have had 2 over the years. Nice rifles, but they both had issues with breaking the firing pins. I "think" someone made an aftermarket one out of stainless steel at one time but I can't be sure. Other than the firing pin issue, I really liked the rifles.

Thanks for the input. I didn't even know Mossberg made a rimfire lever .22 until I saw this one. Guess I'll be adding it to my collection.
