In a trade I got a 500 20 ga vent rib 30 inch very good condition.I have never had a 20 ga shotgun,How are they used for clay or hunting.Any info on 20ga shootguns.TKS.
I rarely use anything but a 20 gauge for anything but waterfowl or when i decide to tote the 28. For clays and anything but wild flushing birds or waterfowl a 20 is all you need. Haven't seen many 30" 20s. I like a 28 but thats no big deal. Does it have choke tubes?
The 20 ga. is fine for 80 or 90% of what most of us do with a shotgun. Right now, some 20 ga. loads are hard to find, though I see more 12 ga. on the local shelves. If you decide to load it for defense, I don't think that the 20ga. gives up anything. Mine patterns very well with #3 Buck.
