called to order a bolt and washer for my pistol grip (the factory Mossberg one) as well as a stainless front sling stud ready to pay for both. nope. theyre sending em out. this makes two sling studs, the pistol grip parts, abd about 4-5 replacement 590 springs theyve sent out for free.

i like this company.

Does anybody know if older mossberg 500s ever used metal trigger guards?

I understand the 590s do and there's one available from Brownells. I had an OLD 500 single action bar, Revelation 310 branded, sold it. Tell ya the truth, I never pay attention to such things and don't recall details like that. If it'd ever given me trouble I'd remember. I used that thing about 10 years before buying my snazzy camo model 20 years ago. I'd traded a guy a motorcycle frame for it. I put a new accuchoke barrel on it for 100 bucks and it got me through 10 years of steel shot before I got my new one, xhich is now getting old. The new one has the plastic, but I don't go around banging it with sledge hammers and it hasn't given me any trouble even though the gun gets no love in the marsh. I kinda like the plastic, anyway, won't rust, less to worry about. when it gets a salt water dunk as happens now and then.

I've got an old Mossberg 20 gauge I picked up in trade years ago. One of the single action bar guns. The trigger guard on it is metal. Ya'all actually got me curious enough to go look. I had never really paid attention.
