Most Accurate hunting bullet?

There is no way we can tell you what the most accurate bullet is for YOUR gun. They're all different. Even if 2 came off the same assembly line back to back, they may shoot differently.

For what its worth, every rifle I load for shoots Sierra Gameking bullets with very good accuracy and they are perfect for whitetails IMO.

In no particular order: Sierra Gamekings, Nosler Ballistic tips, Acubonds, Acubond Long Range, Partitions. I've used those as well as Hornady, Barnes and many others. I use Nosler Acubonds and Acubond Long Range in many of my rifles. Good to great accuracy, little blood-shot meat, through and through penetration on all but one shot. If I had to pick one bullet for you to try, I'd suggest the Acubond Long Range. They are designed to expand at a lower velocity (think longer shots of over 400 yards), hold together well (the one bullet I recovered went through 5' of elk after penetrating a ham,hip and shoulder blade) and still retained 45% of it's original weight and very accurate.

When I think accurate hunting bullets, I think Sierra. Especially the flat base Pro-hunters. But I consider Sierra bullets to be more lightly constructed than some others. When I think bullet performance, I think Nosler Partitions. But I don't think they are always the most accurate.

You wouldn't necessarily use the same bullet for the three species of game you plan on hunting. I don't mind giving up a little accuracy to get Partition performance on big stuff, like elk or moose. But an accurate cup and core would be fine for antelope. I've been loading Hornady or Core Lokts for deer and haven't been disappointed yet.

You are worried FAR too much about accuracy. Worry about proper placement and a bullet designed for the job required.

NOT saying accuracy isn't important but when I Guided I saw far too many hunters who were great off a BENCH....not so great in the field. They should have worried less about GROUP SIZE and more about the job at hand.

Been killing deer , elk, antelope and two trips over to RSA on plains game...Used Nosler partitions or Trophy Bonded on most of them. Seldom any drama.

I'd suggest 140/150 gr std cup and core for antelope, even deer , or a partition. And some bonded or a partition for elk, but move up to 150 or 160 gr for the big stuff.

If you got the money to blow, there is nothing wrong with dropping $1500 on a Weatherby or Browning rifle with high end German glass and premium ammo, but unless you plan on dropping Bambi from 500+ yards, it's definitely not required.
Well, I’m getting a Browning X-Bolt 7mm Mag. And I just got a top of the line Leupold VX-6 2-12x42.

Dunno if that counts

I would say that counts as high end for sure. Well, at least the most people.

I heard the x-bolt is as good as it gets

The elk takes my favorites out of the equation HRn sst and nosler BT.

If your cheap hornady spire points are great, Sierra pro hunters are fine.
If your not cheap Barnes are super nice for Elks but suck on deer and antelope. Nosler partition would be a classic elk bullet.

I quit the Barnes after 3 deer ran 100 yards with perfect shots. Hornady sst drops them DRT almost always. Same thing with coyotes. The Barnes is just made for tougher game or an underpowered round.

Have a buddy with an X-bolt Hells Canyon.
He got an Elk in Idaho last year at a lasered 903yds. No wind conditions, broadside shot. He dialled and held behind the elbow, hit 11" high and right...got the descending trunk artery. It stood there for about 3 seconds, looking confused, then went to take a step and rolled down the hill.

Once in a lifetime shot. Now he's worried his hunting buddies will expect him to do it every time. Lol.

I think he said he used a Berger 180, over Retumbo, but can't recall for sure.

Thats an oft used combo in the 7Rem, I used it for a while. I only switched to the 162amaxes due to cost, and they did everything i wanted at the ranges and game i shoot.
