Most evil-ist Texas Star

That looks SWEET....A friend of mine is a RO at the TX Limited this weekend. He said they just go them one. He Loves it but said it is a challange. I cant wait to shoot it.

It may be that I shoot a lot of texas stars. My local club has 5 of them so I see them all the time. The star turns relitively slow and does not seem to change direction but that may change as the plates come off.

To me the trick on this one is to follow one of the shoot targets. I would begin in the upper right corner and take the plates going counter clockwise while following the shoot target. After 2 - 3 plates depending on wheather they used a one way or free spinning sproket (for lack of proper term.) the star will change direction. Just drop down to the opposite shoot target and the plates will turn into your gun but from a clockwise direction. If the plates are slow to appear use the time to pick up 2 alphas on the paper. Any misses on the plates will create sloppy c, and d hits.

I shot a similar set up star but without the shoot targets, just two no shoots. On this one at least they give you some extra points to chase while your waiting on your plate.

Sort of. The spin only changes direction if the plate shot off changes the balance in favor of a directional change. As seen in the video, some of the more experienced shooters shot the target such as to try to keep things as balanced as possible and hence reduce spin.

I'm sure I can do better.

We have found the fastest way to shoot a star is to zip the top then let the last 2 or 3 plates turn into the gun. I can also zip them back and forth so the star just sorts of wobbles and does not turn but it is slower.

It looks to me like the plates are all "shoot targets", but half of the paper targets behind them (spinning in the opposite direction) are "no-shoots"; it looks like it would be an ugly stage to shoot regardless.
