Most Treasured Firearm?

My most treasured for monetary reasons is a mint condition (known to have 9 rounds fired through it and believed to had ONLY 9 rounds fired through it), numbers matching (including magazine) Luger, built by Mauser (IIRC) in 1938.

My most treasured for sentimental reasons is my Stevens 311H (or was it G) 20 gauge given to me by my dad when I was 10. I was so small at the time that he had to cut the stock down for me to be able to shoulder it. I have since repaired the stock with an oak spacer (to take up the void from the saw blade) and refinished the wood. I still use it for dove/quail hunting from time to time.

My 2nd most treasured gun for sentimental reasons is the Henry Golden Boy that I gave to my father for Father's Day the year he passed away. I tried for nearly 6 months to get him to go shooting with me, but never could get him to go. He died without shooting the rifle, and I have yet to shoot it as well. One day I'll have a child, they'll be the first to shoot it.

In rifles (since this is the rifle section), my first NFA gun is mine, surpassing even my beloved FALs.

It was my first real discovery that I could effectively order whatever I wanted as long as I figured out how to pay for it - every complaint and problem I ever had with a 91/G3 was fixed in one package. #23 off the Vector line, my .308 fireballer.

It's a shame Vector's effectively out of business now - just glad I got two :(

My other revolver (SP-101) is a "better gun", but my first (a modest steel blue Taurus 85) is near and dear to my heart.

I only have one firearm that is handed down - a Savage 24 in .22/.410 that belonged to my grandfather who died before I ever met him. It means a lot to me.

But I guess in my case... top prize goes to my Marlin 39. I waited so long for that gun; wanted one ever since I cared about shooting. Took over 10 years to finally make it mine. When I'm gone, if nobody cares about it you can put that one in the coffin with me.

My Remington 1100 20 gauge. Surprise Christmas gift from dad some years ago. Turned out to be the perfect shotgun for me, and it looks like a million bucks.

i love my winchester 94 pre 64. when my father was a kid he lost a bb gun and grand dad siad he would never buy him another gun as long as he lived... then some weeks later my father had his new gun under the christmas tree.. grandpa was just tuff around the mouth it think now that my father is gone its mine to love and shoot i will charish it forever and one day hopfully pass it on to my son

I always joked about owning a Weatherby...well, many, many years ago, at Christmas, I was totally shocked when my wife gave me a presentation grade Weatherby in 300wm. I had no idea whatsoever and she had to save all year to get it.

You may laugh but, I've never fired it and it sits in the gun cabinet to this day, It's way to pretty to take out in the field and will always be something very special.

Marlin 336. Grandfather gave it to me, showed me how to shoot, etc. Cancer took him a month or so later.

Mine is my scoped national match Springfield 1903 in very near mint condition.

My '77 vintage Marlin 336 30-30 with a Leupold 4x Alaskan scope. Beautiful walnut with a slender forend and no cb safety. I've let a lot of rifles come and go over the years. This one I keep.

My most treasured firearm is this CRAZY HORSE® US NAVY MK14 SEI MOD 0

I had it built in 2004 and it has returned to SEI once for updates.
I just replaced the XR.308 EOTech with the Detachable Cantilevered Sight Base
from SAGE and I'm researching what optic is best suited to the rifles capabilities.

I'd have to say it would be my grandfather's engraved 870 12ga that was handed down to me. Not a rare or exactly elegant gun but it is beautiful to me and will always be in the family.

I have two...acutally more but for this the answer is my dad's Remington 12 ga. It is a nice shotgun in good shape that is about a 100 years old. And then the Marlin 30-30 my father-in-law gave me to start me deer hunting with him. I have not shot that gun in probably 20 years though.

What does that thing weigh? Very cool looking.
My Mod 0 weighs more than any of my other rifles... the scale reads 14 LB ~ 2.2 OZ.
