"Ow- Some jerk just shot me in the toe with a 9mm! Aargh, when I find out who it was..."

"Actually he had a .45 ACP."

"Oh... really? Oops, my bad- sorry about that folks, didn't know it was .45..."
(graciously flatlines to save face)

.

My tagline:

.357 Magnum?!?
Well, all I know is it ain't .45 ACP...

Huh- what the heck is a re-vol-ver?!?

I'm confused and frightened.

Please hold me.

That's the funniest thing (the original pic) I've seen/read in weeks. Actually, now that I think about it, it's the funniest thing I've read all year.

In anycase, thanks for the laugh!

Cheers K.S.,

I hope you realise that all the "back at ya's" were done in fun!

Like I said, I just got my SA - and I've embarrased myself every time I've shot it. Sooo - I'll stick to my "little guns" until I've mastered this new thing.

If I ever get the nerve to do one of these pictures, mine will probably feature a Sharps 45-110 as the center piece.

What part of Penciltucky be ya from? My roots are from the "white-trash" coal region of S.E. KY. At least that's what I've been told by them "w-t" relatives I've met.

Anyway - it IS a pretty neat pic.

Gentle winds,

i don't like it at all. putting people down or calling them names, for a certain caliber they might like, is wrong.

Dragun, the thread starter seems to be an amateur and should probably finish the high-school (if he/she has got so far) before spreading out offences and idiocy. I have CZ in 9 Luger and am offended by this idiot. If a "pansy" puts a 9mm round in your head, Kentucky_smith, you'll be dead, no matter what you think of 9mm. And mixing alcohol with guns, you're a disgrace to shooter community. Get the sam-hill outta here.

What I see from that picture, Mods, to reason my offence, is that the 9mm types are considered pansies and the Big Boys with .45 pistols drink strong alcohol and bang away with guns while drunk (which will happen when mixing guns with alco), just to prove how manly and non-pansy they are.

... or we could just try for humor, laugh at what's funny, and not bicker like school children when someone goes for low-ball humor and doesn't pull it off. It's times like this when I especially miss WildAlaska's old monikers.

'Remember, kids, it's only the internet. And your opinion is as insignificant as mine.'

I'd expect a reaction if someone went after your wife, your children, your mother, or your dog. But caliber?

I don't care if you like 9mm or .45 or both, some of us like chocolate, some like vanilla. But I think putting alcohol and firearms in the same poster is assanine. It is a violation of safety and intellegence. You always have a choice to drink and to handle firearms or not, but your poster advocates drinking and firearms. I believe you have the right to make such a poster. But that doesn't mean that it is smart. With Freedom comes responsability to not do moronic things. A poster like this doesn't help the firearms comunity, hell without the crap about my caliber is better than yours. I would have thought the poster was ANTI-GUN.

On the other hand, if the poster offends you, you don't have to look at it more than once.
;)
I liked it personally.

your right, I don't have to look at it more than once.
I can also tell the person who created the poster that it was a stupid thing to do and I did.

To Dragun, Medusa, and others offended. Please don't take this to heart, it is just a little internet towel snapping! I have nothing but 9mm in my collection(for now;) ), my G19 being my favorite, and even I can laugh at the picture. I know what the 9mmcan do, and what I can do with it. It's all good.

Instead of whining about it, perhaps you can suck it up and "snap back"!

MAN o MAN! Don't tell me we have to be Politically Correct here also do we :banghead: I thought most of us here were against having to be politically correct all the time?

I don't know if it's wrong or not, but the trigger is forward meaning that it's in battery. Oh, and you need a six-pack of brew beside it.:)

Good heavens. For a group of folks who (rightfully) love to bash politically-correct wording, there sure is a lot of "he offended me" going on in here!

I believe the originator of this post is kidding around...

Have a nonoffensive day,
Rich :D

Man, some people just don't get it. IT IS A JOKE!!!!!!!!!!

If you can't can't laugh at it that is fine. To be 'offended' by it is ridiculous, and immature. More so than the original post by a long shot.

Kentucky, I think it is funny and even if I didn't I wouldn't be trying to put sand in your shorts for it, keep going as 95% or more of us actually have a sense of humor.

Im not offended and it's not about being politically correct. It's about responsibility. Firearms are our responsibility all of the time, they are tools that must be used with care and respect. I have nothing against drinking you can drink all you want, that is your choice. But don't mix drinking and firearms. If you do you are making a choice as well, and likely its a stupid one.

do what you will, but be responsible for your actions. Even jokes can have reprocussion.

First off I don't see any human interaction going on between the alcohol, the firearm and the (supposed) human.

MAYBE, the gun had a long hard day at the range (after out shooting all the 9mm's:p )and it was sitting down with a shot of whiskey to relax and chill out? I think that is it because I sure don't see a human advocating shooting or drinking or firearms.

I THINK WE SHOULD CALL IT ART! Somebody call a freakin museum, we may have stumbled upon a masterpiece!

I've only handled a Glock once before, but that little switch on the side, probably for taking the pistol apart, is in the up position indicating that the gun can be taken apart. but again I don't know crap about Glocks. just my WAG. (wild a** guess)

I never drink and shoot at the same time - unless I'm practicing with my weak hand.
