Moving back to North Carolina...shipN hand gun?

My brother is moving back from Alaska to be near grand kids. He has JUST the grip frame for S&W 9mm. It's about 7 ounces in weight but has the serial #.
Can he ship to his home or does the the grip frame have to be sent to an FFL ?

No, he can not.

USPS accepts handguns ONLY from an FFL to an FFL.

use ups or fedex. It will require overnight but that would be the easiest way without having to go through the FFL process.

He can ship it to himself via common carrier. He'll need to take it to a hub as the little shipping shops won't handle it.

That is assuming he's driving through Canada, so he can't take it with him.

Or course, if he's flying, he should definitely carry it with him in checked luggage. That's a no-brainer.
