I have used it for about a year now. It works GREAT. It cleans carbon fouling quicker than Hoppe's #9 and is non-toxic. I have only used it on pistols so I don't know how well it would work on copper fouling in a high velocity rifle.

I use Militec-1 oil and Militec grease or Pro Shot Products Pro Gold grease for lube and a Sentry Solutions Tuf Cloth for rust prevention.

MPro-7 works GREAT on powder/carbon fouling in any gun - rifle, pistol, or Shotgun. However is doesn't touch copper fouling, nor does it breakdown lead. What it will do though, is remove all the carbon which makes the job of removing copper or lead MUCH easier with a product designed for those problems. PLUS it has no smell - so cleaning in the house will affect no one's olfactory senses. :D

I HIGHLY recommend it for general gun cleaning.

I ALSO like the Militec oil & grease for lube purposes. The MPro oil is also a good, thin oil for lube purposes and Tetra Grease works very well too.

Works faster than Hoppes? Really?

I have a bottle of it and it's slow as molasses. If I spray it on and let it sit for 15 minutes, it will get everything off, but it still takes some scrubbing on my part.

Flash burns at the muzzle and at the end of cylinders are unaffected by it.

I have been using Shooters Choice which IS faster than Hoppes, but smells just awful.

It's just soap and water so make sure you oil properly afterwords.

IT WON'T EAT YOUR BRASS BRUSHES

It does work great-- it's the only cleaner I use-- and what's more it doesn't eat your brass brushes. It's a very good product.

Yes, I use MPro7 exclusively and it works great. I live in an apartment in the city so I cannot go outside and clean my guns like back home. :( The odorless nature of MPro7 permits me to clean my guns inside and not draw the ire of my neighbors.

I agree -works great on powder. If it is just soap and water, its REALLY expensive soap and water.

Little bit seems to go a long way though.

Right now I use that and the Miltec oil. Seems like a good combo but I do have some powder flash on a titanium cyclinder that it seems to have trouble getting out.

Afraid of some of those other cleaners though . . . more damage done to guns through cleaning than firing and all that . . .

Another exclusive user here. I can't recommend MPro-7 enough. Works great on everything I've cleaned with it. I still have to remove copper with Tetra Copper remover.
Just remember to recoat all the metal with your usual lube/protectant as MP-7 strips all the oil and grease from the pores of the metal surfaces. I use either BreakFree CLP or Militec-1 for recoating (which ever is in reach at the time) and Brownell's Action Lube Plus for things that get grease.
Just a little heads up for my fellow charcoal burners out there ........... Butch's Blackpowder Bore Shine is nothing more than MPro-7 in a bottle with a different label.

I've used Break free -- once and threw it away -- awful smell really and I felt it in my throat. Cutters I used for a few years. Good product, but again the smell. It's also time consuming. Finally, I switched to M-Pro 7 -- very user and environmentally friendly. I'm never buying anything else but this product from now on. So glad I found it....
