Scored some powder at Sportsman's Warehouse today at a fair price (31.99) Ramshot X=Terminator.
Anyone have a recipe for this stuff? Do you like it? It's for a AR.223 Seems like powder is getting more available at decent prices, but still no primers except at the gun shows at .15 a hundred.

It is my primary powder for bulk loading 223 and 20 cal.
See manuals or manufacturer data for loads.

I often check shooters reference site, that is a database for manufactures load data. Haven't used exterminator but from research I've done its a good powder for 223, 5.56. There is load data for 5.56 on this site as well.

I Checked that site for all powders that would work in 4 different calibers, made a list and bought what I found in stock.

X-Terminator/AA2230 is my favorite powder for loading 55gr & 62gr fmjs in .223 for my AR15's. The western load data linked above is very good and thorough data. It also does well with 150gr and under in .308!

I've just found X-Terminator, but not bought any yet.
It seems a bit confusing, as it's recommended as appropriate for .223/5.56, .308, and ... .45/70. Kind of diametrically opposite small case cartridges (i.e. .223).
Yet a reply on another forum shows it appropriate, approximately 65+/-% fill in the .45/70 case with reasonable loads, and searching shows it available and as low as ~$28ish/lb. Has anybody used it in the large case (specifically .45/70) application? Not looking to hijack the thread with *specific* loads, just wondering about it's appropriate use as asked by OP.
