I'm curious if anyone uses the same powder for multiple rifle cartridge recipes?
I'm beginning to reload and for ease of use and to save some cash, I'm wondering if there are any univerally recognized "multi-purpose" powders that may work for multiple calibers.
I will be initially be reloading for:
.204
.220 Swift
.223
.243
.270
I noticed in my reloading books that a few names are mentioned for most of these calibers. Varget, BL-C(2), and IMR 4198 seem to be listed as possible powder for many calibers.
Is there one good starting powder that can multi-task?
thanks!
