Is it possible to do multiple Form 4's with the same dealer at the same time, in order to expedite the process, or is it still a guessing game as to what will happen when (i.e. if you decide to pick-up a SBR and a suppressor, does it make a difference whether you fill out both forms at once)?

Thanks.

It's possible to do 10 of them at once. They still need to be submitted. Define "In order to expedite the process" because you are being vague.

I think what the OP is asking is whether multiple form 4s will travel through the process together, potentially making the process faster for the second one. I recently sent in two at once, and I'm hoping I made it as easy on the examiner as possible!

I sent two in at once and both arrived in the same envelope when finally approved. Did they slow one of them down to save a stamp and envelope? I've no way to tell :)

It makes no difference, if the NFA gods look favorably upon you they will both go together and be approved at the same time, if not one will get approved and the other will be kicked back for something like the Sheriff not putting his title on it. In theory they should be approved and back to your dealer at the same time, but no guarantees.

Didn't know if it made any difference for the examiner's processing purposes. For those of us who still have waiting periods on regular firearms, sometimes it's more convenient to put 2+ firearms on the same 4473, to avoid going through additional trips to the dealer--wasn't sure if that was do-able with NFA's or not.

So I guess it doesn't matter whether you submit 2 at once or 2 a month apart, based on the above posts. Thanks, guys.

in order to expedite the process

The only way you can truly expedite the process is to slip a twenty in (per form four) with the paperwork for the examiner.

That will ensure your paperwork finds the top of the pile. :D

Not really gonna help. Form 4's get mailed to Atlanta, GA and then are batched to Martinsburg, WV. So all your Andrew Jackson's fall out in GA long before your examiner even knows they were in there. ;)

When I did my first two Form 1's I sent them in at the same time. They were assigned consecutive ?"processing numbers"?, the number stamped at the top of the form, both were approved the same day and came back in a single envelope. Seeing as my trust paperwork was all the same one would think they made sure the language was all the same for both copies/forms, reviewed one and approved the second w/o going through the same stuff again.

But short of truth serum on one of them I'm pretty sure you'd get the party line of we review every form individually, independent of any other previously submitted form.
