Another process time info post.
Submitted Form 4 transfer from dealer to me via paper form Jan 12th and my dealer got the stamp back yesterday.
It was dated 4/3 for approval date.

This "quick" turn around was nice, but all in all this can took nearly 2 1/2 years to get into my hands. It was a bunch of bad timing and lots of waiting. My dealer placed an initial stocking order with YHM back in Oct/Nov 2012. Of course we know what happened in Nov, and then worse, in Dec 2012.
YHM took nearly a year to make and then transfer the cans to my dealer. They were, like most in the industry, focusing on everything AR and making suppressors wasn't a priority.
When YHM finally shipped, they only shipped half of the order, my 7.62 Phantom wasn't one of them. The 2nd half of the order took another couple of months to get to the dealer.
Now, my dealer was trying to use the "new" e-form system and he gave it a good fight for nearly 4 months. Trying to get past the lockouts, system outages, spending hours creating the forms to have the system crash, etc..
He had given me the option of waiting for the e-form mess to straighten up or just send paper form, which we knew were taking a LONG time to process. So, I opted for waiting and trying the e-forms. We finally gave it up and we finally got together to fill out the paper form.
So, good news, Form 4s are moving along.

Stepping into the NFA world has been a good test of my patience and decidedly NON-Instant gratification.

This one, while it took longer, doesn't compare with the story of my 45 ACP can -- short version -- paperwork started, deployed to Iraq, of course form came back a month after I was in the sandpit. Finally got home, picked up can within days of being home, made it to the range the next day - baffle strike in the first 25 rounds, off it goes back to Yankee Hill. Great warranty BTW, but bad ju-ju, tube itself is damaged beyond repair, and the timing was soon after the GemTax time. So, YHM has to transfer me a NEW can. No sweat I think... Well that transfer took another 8 Months IIRC. So, altogether, another can that I really didn't get to enjoy for over 1 1/2 years.

So, yeah, patience and NFA toys go hand in hand.

Oh, and of course I think I started off on a wrong foot with my first 2 -- yep, paperwork sent (individual transfers) and I deployed, and they came in nearly as soon as I was gone.
I think one arm of Uncle Sam keeps me out so the other arm can taunt me...

suppressor wait time

I sent my forms in September 2014; I waited for both cans (YHM Cobra M2 in .45 and YHM Phantom stainless in .30 cal) to get to my dealer so I could send the paperwork in at the same time. Both forms were approved April 8 2015 and they arrived 7 days later; both forms were approved by the same BATFE worker. Stamp numbers are sequential, also, which was pretty cool to see (the rubber stamp number the put on the top of the form, not the tax stamp themselves).
