Musket caps vrs #11 magnum caps

In the area I live...it is almost impossible to find rws musket caps for my IAB 1863 sharps. Online research suggests that some people are replacing the nipples with a nipple that will take the #11 magnum cap. Does anyone know any company that is selling a replacement nipple that will work on the IAB sharps...I might be able to find CCI musket caps; but I have read bad reports on them working right...

My IAB Sharps has ignition problems with CCI musket caps. I can't belive it would even fire with #11 Magnum caps that are a lot weaker. Shop around onliine. There are a number of dealers that will ship 1000 musket caps to you. Alternatively you might consider getting one of the "Mag Spark" Primer nipples. They use a #209 shotshell primer in an enclosed chamber, They replace your nipple and should work without modifying the hammer. http://www.warrencustomoutdoor.com/mag-spark.html

Curator, that page seems to answer a question asked on another thread here about converting an ROA to take 209s.
Too bad they're out of stock on everything.
