This real estate listing was recently brought to my attention because of the unbelievable trophies and mounts photographed. Beautiful home and property but the extent of the mounts is jaw dropping.

You'll have to scroll thru a number of the house and property pics (70+) but be patient, the game mounts will be worth it. The Elephant Ivory alone is stunning. Check out the meat processing area.

Enjoy....

Oh man, that is spectacular!
I thought I saw the trophy room, but I kept scrolling. You will know it when you see it.
I would like to peek in the gun room!

There are shows on RFDTV that feature hunting properties. I like to watch and dream.

Makes me wonder what the owner did for a living so as to allow him not only the money, but the time to do all those hunts.

I have a friend who is an attorney who made 13 trips to Africa and his collection of animals is impressive, but not like this.............

Think I counted over 20 sets of ivory, hard to know exactly. Obviously these were taken prior to importation ban. I've heard estimates that a good set of elephant tusks can bring 30-to-50K.

The mounts alone could keep a couple of taxidermists employed for decades.

$6,000,000 for the property.....must have nearly that much in just the hunts and taxidermy.

And if all of those mounts were sold for 3/4 of their estimated value I could still blow all of the money on Gunbroker in an hour.

I think I have some catching up to do! I wonder if his collection was ever featured in the "Great Hunters" series of trophy room books? I have all but #4.

I have the entire 8 volume collection of "Great Hunters and Their Trophy Rooms"......fabulous series showing the worlds greatest trophy rooms.

Here's pics of a gentleman's trophy room that lived in Illinois (name withheld). He was one of the most prolific Elephant hunters of all time. Supposedly he donated much of his collection to museums but retained a portion of it. Not sure if he is still alive or perhaps family members have some of it. The Elephant tusks in the above pics look similar to what was in his collection. I'll post these pics and you can determine if they are part of the same collection.
