Today I thought to take my lil girls to the range for some fun before I had to take my oldest back home.

Now my oldest isn't much for the outdoors stuff except maybe some fishing, her mom has a problem with her doing things that relate to the outdoors except maybe soccer & has always made it clear that I don't get her involved with Archery, Shooting &/or Hunting, well what's a Dad to do?

During our time I let her & my 7 year old shoot the .22 Ruger Single Six a little & after a while she was hitting pretty good at 10 yards, then she asked me to try my Pietta '58 that I had brought.

She did quite well with my target load of 22gr. FFFG & .457 Ball hitting in the 7 ring area at 10 yards.

There may be hope for her after all. ;)

Great photo with the recoil and smoke. Glad she enjoyed herself - and a good shot as well!

She'll be moving up to a Walker in no time!

'58

now that's a girl who will be able to take care of herself when she grows up!
It's all in the way you raise them...

and they will love it more when get older.

They will want to go out shooting with you.

Yup

My 10 year old daughter loves to shoot her .32 caplock. She puts on her
game face and goes after them. Fan around her neck is to keep the smoke
out of her eyes. She takes after her mom too much. Poor Dad gets pistol
whipped too much.

My wife didn't like me teaching the outdoor stuff either, wanted to "suntan" on the back of the boat when the family was trying to fish, fussed when it was deer season..etc.

New wife likes to cook venison, shoot guns and fish..... 'nuff said..:D

Yeah, I'm glad that I'm married to my wife & only have to deal with my X when it comes to visits or school related stuff.

My wife has now gotten into shooting Archery "took 10 years but it's well worth it" & I'm like a kid with a new best friend when we get to go shoot together, & she shoots pistol some so we get to have some of that time together too. :D

Great photo. Hopefully, I can get my kids interested in outdoor sports like shooting though my daughter already is high maintenance...and she's only 3.

My ex sat around the house and didn't do a whole lot which is in part why she's my ex but at least I have custody of the kids.
