Depends...sometimes it's a Kahr CM9, other times it's one of my S&W J frames: a Model 638 or else a Model 649. All of them ride in a DeSantis SOF-TUCK IWB holster.

Not a Sig, though a 229 Legion wouldn't be a bad carry gun at all.

Depends on clothing/season. P238 Legion today. Stock, with the factory Legion coating and trit sights.
For such a small pistol it engages steel plates with the speed of a bigger boy but without the ballistic energy. It was a LGS impulse buy and I have taken quite a favor to it.
Oh No! Condition 1 :)

Pocket carry a sig 365 most of the time. Has one of the kydex mini holsters that covers the trigger.

Two of my SP101 snubbies were customized by Jack Weigand, with his “Tame the Beast” package, minus the optional porting. Neither of these have been safe queens, so, they have plenty of character marks.

Recently, I added two pre-owned SP101 snubbies, customized by Marc Morganti, of Gemini Customs. These two are ported. Both looked like they were safe queens, for the previous owner(s), but I will be carrying them, after each is vetted, and the POA/POI relationship sorted-out.

I have a Gen5 G17 Glock, that had been given the Wilson Combat package treatment. This one appears to have been a safe queen for its previous owner, but, it is going to be a carry gun, for me, pending being vetted, when I resume range visits, as this panic-demic fades.

I have a Robar-ized Gen3 G17C, that appears to have been a safe queen for its previous owner. It, too, awaits post-panic-demic vetting, before I carry it. The porting should help with recoil, during training, which is important as one develops arthritis. I may install a non-ported barrel for actual carry.)

I have a Les Baer Premier II, customized by Harrison Custom. I also have a Les Baer Thunder Ranch Special, which has not been customized, after leaving the Baer assembly plant. I have carried both on the sometimes-mean streets of Houston, Texas, in a police duty rig, and during personal time. My right hand has been somewhat gimpy, lately, and neither of these pistols has an ambidextrous thumb safety, so, while they remain defensive weapons, neither has served as a primary carry gun, for a year or so. (I retired from LEO-ing in early 2018, and did continue to tote one or the other of these Baers, for much of the rest of 2018.)

I definitely plan to carry the customized Glocks. I have already used non-customized Glocks, for police duty, and some amount of personal carry. I am fortunate enough to be reasonably ambidextrous with handguns, actually shooting some better lefty, and some better righty. Glocks are better as left-handed guns, for me, being a better fit in my left hand, and my “smarter” left trigger finger is better able to deal with that quirky Glock trigger. (I am left-handed, but right-armed. Any tool bigger than a handgun, or a hammer, I generally use right-handed. I write lefty, and use many small tools lefty.)

My real carry gun is a ruger sr9c. 20210620_132459.jpg
I could argue that I think this gun is one of the best carry guns out there, and it's bone stock out of the box.
Manual safety
Trigger dingus safety
10rd and 17rd mags
Weapon light rail/ Valkyrie mini olight.
Loaded chamber indicator.
Front and rear cooking serrations
Rounded carry melt type edges
three dot sights
customizable grip backstrap
totally ambidextrous
9mm
I have multiple holsters, but the Desantis SofTuck is my favorite.

None of my images, in this machine, are named “URL.” ;)

Seriously, since a web-hosting service, Flickr, lost my images, a number of years ago, when my whole account disappeared, I have avoided using them. (This happened long before Flickr wanted to start charging for web hosting of images. I am fine with paying; the problem was lack of trust. Since then, some entire web-hosting services have disappeared. Seems to be a dying industry.)

This is a link to one of my Gemini Customs SP101 revolvers, acquired earlier this year. The listed price is higher than I paid; walk-in customers can realize better pricing.

It's OK
I was just kidding.
The custom Sp101 s are interesting

My usual 'go to town' piece is a Sig P365, in an OWB holster..shirt-tail out. Here on the farm, it varies with the chores of the day...for the past cpl weeks, it's been a revolver: M36 Smith .38 Spl, M60 Smith .357, or a Smith M66 .357 as I'm working up loads for all three.

Gotta say that I really like that Sig P365...hellofa gun for CC use...accurate, reliable, good capacity and small enough to hide without making it difficult to shoot well. One gun scribe described it as 'shooting like a much larger, duty sized gun'. An apt description IMHO...one that I'd readily agree to.

Best regards, Rod .... Pic of my P365 rig.

SIG P365 just as it came out of the box. No need for anything upgraded as it works just fine, every time.

Very nice! My brother had a P228 that he let me use for a number of years while he was out of the town on business. That gun was phenomenal in that it would feed anything and everything in the way of 9mm. ammo! I use to take it to the range as a test bed for my reloads and the gun never missed a beat!

I was surprised to learn that he sold it a few years ago as part of thinning out his collection. I would have bought it if I knew it was up for sale, it was that good of a gun. He did give me a magazine that he had left over and it works perfectly in my P229.

I generally run my mouth. I also carry a G19, Ruger lip II, or my Ruger lc9. At work so no pics. Also they are bone stock so not much to see.
