20171007_120551.jpg My daughter just turned 15 and decided she wanted a new gun, something more substantial than her S&W 317.

After browsing the few local shops we headed out of town to check their inventory. At a small shop about 30 miles out she picked this SP101 in 327 mag

Very nice find. The three-inch model is pretty sweet. I found with the Hogue grips this was a great shooter even with the full powered 100-130 grain .327 cartridges

I like it but I'm partial to anything .32 cal:)
Will definitely need good ear protection for it my 327 makes a 44 mag sound quiet.

I'd love to pick one of those up. I keep hoping Ruger will reintroduce them. The 327 and its parent cartridges sure are cool.

She likes the grips fine, I may put some nicer inserts in there but overall she had no trouble with it. It definitely has a bark, though.

32 H&R or 32 S&W long will be much more comfortable to shoot.

I'll drop by Academy tomorrow and see what they have in 32l wadcutters. 32 cal offerings locally are nonexistent. She'll start at the bottom and move up the chain, power wise, as she gets more comfortable. Knowing her, she'll be out shooting me with it in a month. She's a dead-eye with her little 317.

Great choice! Especially like it in .327 Federal Magnum. Very versatile set-up with being able to use other .32 ammo in it.

That might just be the best DA revolver in .327 there is. Congrats to your daughter! Sounds like the perfect gun for her.

I agree it's a good choice for your daughter. She can shoot ammo from mild to wild. When she us old enough it will make a good carry gun too. Congratulations.
