My first AR-15 (4th of July present) "Pics"

Hello guys!

The Big brown truck just deliver my upper today and i finish my first ar15 and i cant be happier the fit and finnish match perfect and there is no movement between the upper and lower, it's almost a complete CMMG M4 in a Spike's Tactical lower, here's a quick list of the things in it,

Lower:
Spike's Tactical Lower
Safe, Semi, Auto, Marks
CMMG LPK
CMMG CAR Stock

Upper:
CMMG 16” M4 Upper
Barrel is marked CMMG MPC 5.56 NATO 1/7.
T-marked, 4150 chrome moly vanadium steel barrel.
Magnetic particle tested 1x7 twist
hard chrome plated barre with recessed target crownl
Anodized feed ramps
Shrouded firing pin
sight base with parkerizing underneath

since i didn't get the carry handel the reddot is a Tasco ProPoint it works great but i'll be getting a Bushnell trophy MP soon

Cruise over to the Arfcom Industry section and look up Vortex Optics. Their new Strikefire is due out soon and looks to be a great value. It might be worth the wait.

Now all you need is a boxcar full of magazines and freighter full of ammo! Congrats on the new carbine!

Oh, and good thing you have parkerizing under the FSB. I knew a guy that had a rifle that didn't, and the rifle stole his wallet and skipped town. True story.

i order it thrusday around 4pm from aimsurplus.com and i got it today (tuesday), but i call them first to see if they have them instock.

it's a 16'' i don't think that a 1.5'' less is worth the extra money

and yeah i just got a pmag to see how it work, and if everything is ok i'll buy some more

You're gonna like the Bushnell Trophy MP. I have one on my Bushmaster, and I think its a good combo. Especially if you dont want to spend an arm and a leg on optics.

I'm going to try the tasco scope this thrusday, and see how the rifle shoot, BTW for a 1/7 the best bullet are 69gr and up right?

I am thinking of purchasing an AR-15, just in case SHTF. In any case, I will probably buy a complete rifle, instead of building my own, since I don't know anything about building guns.

Theoretically, yes. Not all are the same. The Prvi 75gr OTM rounds (and components) are apparently noticeably less accurate than comparable rounds loaded with Hornady 75gr OTM or Sierra 77gr SMK bullets.

If you reload, have fun working up a load with the Hornadys and Sierras. If you don't, I'd get some Hornady 75gr Custom or TAP ammo.

in my 14.5" , 1/9, our GP90 (swiss military ammo, 69 grain) works fine.

but its hard to get goo result with 75 grains or 80 grains bullets.

I thought I was on a role with my AR when I got several 5 shot groups into 1.5 inches at 100 yards but the 10 shot groups seem to be around 4". Looks like I need more work.

Of course I don't have an ACOG and have to make due with the A2 sights.

I dont normally shoot that good, I think I was having a lucky day.
