Hi folks... I want to paint my AR in a camo pattern for the area I coyote hunt. I plan to use one of the paint kits by duracoat, but before spending that kind of money and potentially making my AR look like hell I decided to rattle can paint my $200 Pardner Pump...

I stripped the gun down, degreased it completley and then put down two coats of the base color....

I then layered on the color, and some local vegetation for the pattern....

The results were pretty good, for my first time using not so great a paint...

The next/final step is to find an appropriate matt poly to protect it with.

Any comments feedback regarding the colors and the pattern?

Looks good. I recently did a Savage MkII 22 stock but wasn't near as creative as you. I hit it with a couple of colors then took a natural sea sponge and dipped in other paint and dabbed it on.

sorry for the cellphone picture
