I had a very productive Sunday at the Ft. Lauderdale, FL Gun Show. Picked up a NIB Kel-Tec P-32 ($215 - blued), Uncle Mike's pocket holster, and 6 boxes of Fiocchi .32 73-grain FMJ ($6/box. :D). The P-32 is in the Serial # range 113xxx so it has all the "upgrades".

Finished my "Fluff & Buff" and will be taking my new toy to the range on Monday. If all goes well, it will become my new Florida Summer Carry piece. Wish me luck!

Congrats on the new gun. I picked one up at a show in SC on Saturday and carried it that day and Sunday as well. It is one of those guns where you kinda forget that you have it in your pocket. I laid down $225 out the door for mine.

Good pistol at a great price. I have a 102XXX serial numbered chrome plated version. Haven't had any problems yet in a couple of hundred rounds. It fits great in the uncle mikes #1, just tight enough to keep it from falling out when you sit down smartly - that happened with my bianchi nemesis.
If you plan on carrying it with hollow points, please function test it first as you may experience rimlock. In ~150 rounds of Winchester Silvertips, I have had no rimlock. I did experience rimlock with CCI Gold Dots and Fiocchi SJHP - seems that the Winchester's rim design is smoother.

So exactly what "upgrades" do the new guns have? I have a lower-numbered P-32 (#29XXX) but haven't yet had any problems with it.

I picked mine up at a local store on Friday. Unfortunately, Connecticut's price point was $299. Took her for a spin on Sunday....no problems. And, you do forget ya have it.

RE: "Upgrades"

The various tweaks that Kel-Tec performed on their P-32 can be found in the discussion forums at www.ktog.org

Nothing major as I can recall. If you are not experiencing any issues, no need to send it back to Kel-Tec. You can always contact them however, if you have any concerns or questions. Like Glock, they do not advertise whenever they update a design feature.

Congratulations on your new P-32, the best pocket gun currently available...at least until the P3AT shows up in numbers.

Mine is always in my weak-side front pocket. It's the ultimate American Express handgun.

does anybody use that little "clip" (not magazine) that fits on the side of the weapon? ive seen it before somewhere an wondered if it was a factory or aftermarket piece?

after reading all of the reviews it looks like a fine little pistol!

ill prolly go after the 380 version a little later. there so small an come in so many colors when i first saw one i thought it was a toy gun or a joke.

willyjixx,

I use the clip when I wear shorts with no pockets - running, etc. It can also be used to clip the gun into an inside suit jacket pocket - cross draw is quick and easy. Just be sure the pocket is otherwise empty.

C-note: you gotta good price!

Mine was a very early model (ser #035XX) Had it for 3 years and it was faithfully functional.

I sent it in to Kel-Tec for hardchroming and got back an entirely new gun with upgraded springs, grip, etc.

Keep it clean and well-lubed and it will keep you safe and secure.

P-32 RANGE REPORT

Took the new P-32 to the range yesterday for the first time. All I can say is...Wow! Fired 100 rounds of Fiocchi FMJ and 50 rounds of Fiocchi SJHP. Functionality was perfect and accuracy was excellent at 10, 20 and 25 feet.

However...the little beastie STINGS! Didn't think to bring shooting gloves with me and my hands were tingling. I didn't even shoot the last box of ammo that I brought with me.

It's now cleaned, loaded, and resting comfortably in an Uncle Mike's #1 pocket holster. I don't plan on shooting the P-32 very much but then again, I didn't purchase it to have another shooter. I am EXTREMELY pleased

An incredibly light and thin pistol. I would not use the clip (even though I bought one) as it screams "KNIFE", and prefer using the Uncle Mike's #2 pocket holster over the #1. Less printing and when I draw, I just drag the whole holster out anyway and throw it (the holster that is) on the ground.

Load with Win Silvertips and you are good to go. The thing just dissappears, it is so light. I just love mine. When I use to need deep cover, I would carry a Beretta Jetfire. The P32 has replaced her (I still love my little Jetfire though - older designed Beretta pistols are so beautiful!)

I wouldn't shoot it a whole lot, just enough to be familiar with it's action and sights. Although not necessarily fragile, I can't imagine it is all that robust either.

And don't dry fire it too much - get some snap caps. Some .32 ammo, like Magtec, have extra tough primers, and the P32 occasionally has problems with those. Most quality American made ammo is okay in this regard.

The blued ones are a bit prone to rust. Lot's of folks send them in to KelTec for the silver finish hard chroming. I am thinking of doing that myself. Otherwise keep a nice coating of CLP on them.

Another hundred rounds through the new P-32 today (Fiocchi HP and FMJ). Performance was still flawless. 250 rounds total without a hiccup. I now carry my mousegun with complete confidence!

Of course, Fiocchi being the only ammo I've shot through it, it's the only ammo I'll carry.
