After almost 500 rounds through my new CZ 75, I just experienced a stovepipe using Blazer ammo. :cuss:

This was my first time using Blazer 9mm. There have been no problems to date with Gold Dots, WWB or Remington UMC. I'll also add that the Blazer seemed to be less accurate than the others. Maybe I just had a bad day at the range (if that's possible).

I've used plenty of blazer of both aluminum and brass varieties and I have about 2,000 rounds through my compact without any failure (save for some from a cheapo aftermarket mag). What kind were you using? Pistol clean?

Blazer is cheap and isn't 100%, you won't be using it to save your life with so who cares?

Don't blame the gun. If you feed it crap once in a while you would expect it to vomit every now and again :D

I've shot Wolf in lots of stuff -- mostly milsurp. I've found their 9 and 45 to be extremely dirty. After a few mags, your pistol will be a mess and you'll have powder all over your forearms and shirt. Other than that, no complaints. I'm pretty through when I clean and I almost enjoy it, so it's not that big of a deal.

I've heard the newer pistol ammo has some form of coating that can gunk things up. I haven't seen this, and I haven't bought any Wolf in a while.

Wolf uses steel cases, which might accelerate extractor wear.

I've used 10's of thousands of Blazer ammo in other pistols/carbines. CZ's, including mine, seem to not like the aluminum cased ammo more often than any other type of ammo. Doesn't make either the pistol or the ammo bad, just not a good match together. Does make doing malfunction drills more realistic knowing what isn't 100% in you pistol.

adams,
were you using the aluinum case or the brass cased blaser?

i have seen more issues with the aluminum that i have the brass, but with neither have i personally experienced any issues.

i have shot approx 1500 of the aluminum between my xd's and 1911.

the blaser brass i use alot because wal mart normally has a pretty good deal on it, and i have shot about 1000rds of it or more.
