I call it my Frankin Mauser because I put it together fron a bunch of old parts.
I started off with an old junk FN contract Colombian actions. Here is what the action looked like when I started. They cost me $6 each. I had to dig through a crate of about 100 to find 7 good ones.

It's chambered in 8mm Mauser, don't remember what barrel I used.
It has a VZ 24 stock, and it has a K98 bolt.
I had a friend instal the barrel and park the metal for me.

I treaded off most of the other actions but kept one for my next project. A 45 ACP Mauser carbine.

Good looking mixmaster. I prefer the Colombian receivers for my sporter builds. They usually(but not always) already have the feed ramp shortened for the 30.06 cartridge.

Wow...that's cool. That sling swivel there at the wrist looks awkward but that obviously was not your doing. I think this is super cool.

That looks awesome, I just picked up a BRNO action that is unmolested in the hopes of doing a similiar project. How long before arange report?

Vz24 Mauser stocks like the one I used can be found for around $50 with most of the metal.
It helps if you can scroung parts for free.
I have a thing I call The Foster Home for Broken and Unwanted Stocks. I that I take in donations of old broken and unwanted stocks. The ones that can be saved are repaired and then placed in good homes for a small adoption fee that helps to cover the repairs and shipping cost.
I can check and see if I have a Mauser stock, if you need one.

Gunny USMC,
That is a very generous offer, and I will gladly take you up on it. There is no rush either as I am extremley busy for the next couple of months. Also I am not intimedated by stocks requiring extensive repair, or refinishing. Let me know if anything comes your way.
Greatly appreciated
