My Gun Drought Ends

I've got a fair number of SMLEs, Lee-Metfords, Carcanos, Arisakas, Mosins, SKSs, ARs, AKs, 03s, 03a3s, M 17s, a Krag, a Trapdoor, K31s, MAS 36s, a 49/56, and a number of other military models.
I'm casually looking for a Lebel and a functional Webley to replace my wall-hanger.
I'll also gather in another of the weapons mentioned above if they jump in front of me and don't cost too much.
Still, I enjoy doing research (I'm a librarian, after all) and I'm trying to come up with a new category to research and seek out.

With that list, I’d have to recommend an SVT 38 or 40, or an AG-42 Ljundmann (sp?), or a G41 or 43. Or there’s the multiple chamberings of the FN-49. There’s also the sniper variants of your list and those suggested.

Then again there was quite a few different manufacturers of Garlands, Carbines, and military 1911s. Just those would make for an impressive collection.

Or you could branch out into early Americana, and add antique Winchesters, Marlins, Colts, and S&Ws. Or there are the many muskets from the Revolutionary War through the Civil War.

You could always step into NFA territory.

There are so many ways that you could go. It just depends on where your interest lies.

I've got a Ljungman, a couple of 1950s Winchester 94s, a Marlin 94, a few S&Ws, no original Colts', several muskets and muzzle loader rifles from various periods, shotguns likewise, lots of cap and ball revolvers (although no single shot pistols), and no interest in NFA weapons. I tried a variety of them in my survivalist days back in southern Oregon and didn't like them. I feel personally responsible for every round that I fire and I don't like the feel of a silenced weapon. Wheeled artillery intrigues me but that niche is filled by a pair of golf ball guns.
No, I think that I'll focus on getting a couple of Garands, a late model Berthier, and some targets of opportunity.
