decided to give my Ruger P95 a clean new look

bought this puppy from my Bro in-law for only $100

and it shoots great!

ruger does make some good guns don't know the reason for the bad rep. i know that resale value is not high but i don't plan on selling it anyway:neener: and from what i'm told they have excellent customer service

Alumahyde II
O.D. Green, Matte Black

It's work 275 bucks man. You made out. I've got 4 factory mags, 3x10 rnd, and 1x15 rnd I would be interested in selling you.

Let me know what you think?

You stole it. I had a P95 for a while, good guns. I still have a P85 and a P90. That P90 is friggin' awesome, but it's a little porky. It's so accurate and reliable, though, it makes up for the mass. It's relatively light at 33 ounces as the grip frame is aluminum. I carry it occasionally in a Sparks Summer Special, same holster held my P95 an the P95 was lighter and easier to carry all day.

I love my p95s! I do like that finish is that duracoat?

Looks good !

I put skateboard tape on the frontstrap of mine and it really stays put during rapid fire.

its

alumahyde II
Matte Black on the slide
and OD green on the frame

Looks great! I have a P95 and been thinking about dressing it up. I may just steal that look. ;)

go ahead! recently i have become infatuated with coating my guns and finally took the plunge into my pistols which seem more delicate to me

OOOh, Nice! Don't tell anyone what you paid for that P95, or they'll tell you its junk....NOT! Ya done good.

I havent heard of ruger having a bad reputation except for the SR9 model. The P95 is a tank. Reliable as hell. You did a great job on that. Super steal too.

Rugers rep is not due to their pistols, but Bill Ruger's attitude.

The ruger autos are generally pretty decent (especially if you are on a budget), and if they have any issues, Ruger's CS is good. Take advantage of it.

A little off topic, but are the grips built onto the frame of the p95? I've a p89 that I replaced the grips with hogue.

I had just hadn't thought about it, and that's what it looks like to me. I've never handled the p95 I don't guess, or if I did, I don't remember the way the grips were attached.

thanks! from my experiences with aluma-hyde on my ak, my two sks's one yugo and the other a d-model and this pistol and a soon to be o.d.'d shotgun i have been extremely impressed with its durability and look when fully cured, well worth the $14 a can and i have had engine paint on my ak before i re-did it and was very pleased with it but this (aluma-hyde) blows it outta the water!

The only negatives I know about the older Ruger P series is that they tend to be chunky and a bit clunky looking, and their resale price is low. Though the low resale price isn't a bad thing if you want one.

This is a very underrated gun. It is a tank and will last you a long, long time. I think the biggest drawback to these is their looks. I hate OD green and tan guns, but what you did to this one looks really, really nice. You improved over the look from the factory in my opinion. Great job.

Why does everyone say these are "ugly" and "clunky" guns i think they are beatiful and have wanted one since they came out. Well the grip is a little big for my, and smaller hands but so is the m-9 and i manage.

ThePunisher'sArmory:

Because everyone has opinions. I think the p95 lacks personality and I love what this guy did to his! Really changed the whole look of the gun.
