Finally, after 9 months of messing about I got a friend of mine, known as Jeffeosso to get this running today. It sat at the Gander Mountain Gunsmith for 8 months waiting for them to put a trigger in and they couldn't get it to work. Took it to Jeffe today and in 15 minutes he had it running like a champ. It started life as a Dumoulin (Belgian custom builder) built rifle with a 1962 vintage stock. The stock and original trigger were damaged due to long storage in Alaska, just sitting in the box in a closet and having never been fired. The barrel is Marked "The Alaskan" with Belgian proofs and a Dumoulin mark.

Jeffe installed a Bold side safety adjustable trigger, then I mounted it in a B&C Carbelite stock with the aluminum bedding block. Sorry for the bad pics but I just wanted to show it off since it's taken so long. The stock actually fits pretty well. I've had to do a little grinding with a dremel to get the side safety to fit, and a little recontouring around the barrel, I'm very pleased with the quality of the stock. I have a Burris FFII 3-9 on it to try loads with next weekend but will most likely switch this out for a 4-12 or 4.5-14. I've also got to do a little touchup on the bolt shroud and trigger guard where grinding was required to get everything to fit.

Dumoulin always did a great job jeweling the bolts.

I'm really impressed with how well the stock fits in areas like the bolt stop.

Jeffeosso by the way is inventor of the 416 AR, 458 AR and 470 AR rounds and last year built his own double rifle in .550 Jeffe. Just thinking about 600 grains at 2350 FPS makes my back hurt.
