I guess I missed buy a gun day by a day, but I guess thats alright.
I found a pawn shop in Snellville (city NE (more E than N) of Atlanta, Hilltop Pawn) that had two Smith and Wesson 686-3 2.5" barreled guns for $395 each. Fortunately, neither had the locking system which is a huge plus. I waited a week and went back in this morning with cash to see what kind of deal we could make. After choosing the better of the two, the other one had a couple cosmetic blemishes on the grips, I informed the gentleman helping me I was interested in taking a gun home and that I had cash. He said he would part with the one I wanted for $350 which I agreed to.
So I am now the proud owner of a S&W model 686-3 with beautiful S&W wood grips.
For anyone else in GA, the other Smith they had was pretty nice too. I would definately recommend doing business with this pawn shop. Prices were fair and were negotiable for Cash. Just how a pawn shop should operate. IM me if you'd like the address or the number.
