Yesterday, my buddy and I decided it was time to go buy some ammo for our Goose hunt next weekend and my buddy was also going to pick up a new shotgun so as to properly reach out and touch the birds. The week previous he had talked to a salesman there and worked him down to a price of 269.00 on a brand new in the box Remington 870 express super mag (synthetic). Why he didn't jump on it that day, I don't know. I think it was fate's way of smiling down on me. To make a long story short, my buddy was able to secure that price for the last synthetic they had in stock, and me being the leech that I am, I picked up the last wood stocked 870 express super mag. they had in stock for the same price (how could I pass that up?). I just went there to buy shells.....
I was going to use my dad's old 870, but now it is going to be used by another buddy of mine. He wanted to go, but doesn't have a shotgun and couldn't afford to buy one, but now he's going whether he likes it or not. It's my way of passing on the good gun karma. If I can successfully bring this guy into the hunting world, then it will all be worth every penny I just spent.
