Got my ak's the other day,Put about 80 rounds through each so far. Had them all of a week.
Top one is a Saiga 236, slant cut receiver, 21" barrel, 10 round mags. Has a rail and red dot, that I need to sight in.
The scary black one is a Wasr 10/63, 30 round mag, adjustable stock (6 position I think), galil style foregrip.
And the Worthwhile AR grip adaptor from ACE. $10, with grip on here > http://riflestocks.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=326
So far all I can tell is the Saiga is a far better finished gun, and just feels nicer all around.
Side note on the Adj. stock. Since stocks like that AR, Ak whatever have a little movement, the heaver recoil of the 7.62 compared to the 5.56 kinda slaps the stock against you face. Also spring tension wasn't really the best on the adjustment lever, stock kept getting shorter first time out, some tinkering, and I fixed that, Think I am going to buy a sheet of pac-skin, to coat the top of the adj stock with, to lessen the face slap.
As for how they shoot, I haven't got to test them at any kind of decent range, just pistol range 20yards. And I haven't shot irons on a rifle in a long time, So I need to take them out, get them on paper and then report my findings.
