Yesterday I picked up a 1958 vintage Ithaca 37 with a 28" fiber beaded Mod choked barrel for $175.
It's got a lot of handling marks and a few "kisses" on the stock but it runs great, it's had a lot of rounds through it {former trap gun} and cycling it literally takes about as much effort as moving a computer mouse back and forth the same distance.
The former owner reported that it had a problem with dumping some brands of ammo out of the magazine when you cycle it, and I had the same problem with the dummy rounds I put through it but I can't get it to do it again after I cleaned and lubed it.
How does it shoot? Great! I'm not crazy about the stock though, it seems to fit different than those of the 37s I've shot in the past and it measures close to a 15 inch LOP including the recoil pad, which I ditched.
All in all this about as good as pump gunning gets and my 870 is dangerously close to safe queen status. Sorry no pics as I'm out and about without a camera.
