tl... the gun started out as a standard stainless steel 1991A1... here is how it looked before I sent it to John. It didn't need a thing really, it was perfect as I had it, but I was ready for a serious custom Colt, so I chose this one for the project:
All John did regarding refinishing is bead blast the entire gun and all the parts, then just brush polished the slide flats. I think the two-tone effect is gorgeous.
