I received my New Model Navy Thursday. It rained yesterday so I won’t be able to go to the desert until January. It takes a long time for the ground to dry, unlike in the Midwest, the water doesn’t soak in.

Looks great. I shot mine in the rainy weather a couple months ago up north in St. Johns and it was fine. Went through several cylinders and no propblems. Enjoy your time shooting.

Here's my Pieta Remington NMN. Got it for Christmas several years ago when like a month before Christmas Cabela's use to have these awesome sales on black powder guns! Alas they no longer do that but it was fun while it lasted!

Nice BP Revolver. Enjoy your shooting times. I didn't have to modify the front blade sight on mine as it shot very accurately. I just had to put a new trigger/bolt spring in becaust the original one broke.

I have the Pietta 1851 .36 cal, and the Uberti 1860 in .44 and they are both just fine. I can't see any reason for me to get more revolvers a this time.
