Nice gun. Kinda weird that it is made in Georgia and now in Italy. Glocks are in Georgia as well.:)

Mec Gar is the OEM magazine maker for many many brands.

Here in the USA there was always a big debate over Beretta made in Italy or those made here. They are exactly the same made to the same specs.
Then there is the PT 92 made in Brazil, it is all so confusing!:)

Glocks imported in Italy are made in Austria.
Beretta 98FS (9x21 version of the 92FS), Px4, APX sold in Italy are made in Italy. More or less all the others Berettas sold in Italy are made in the USA.
I don't know if there is a quality difference between an Austria and a USA made Glock or an Italy and USA made Beretta.

My Taurus G3 says Georgia on the slide but made in Brazil on the frame which is pretty confusing. The positive thing is that it is factory chambered for the 9x21 with dedicated written on the slide and chamber.

Today morning I've been at the range and shot the Taurus for the first time. I shot 200 rounds of NATO spec Winchester 124gr. FMJ-RN. Gun worked 100%.
This is my first 15 rounds group at 7 yards.

The gun is accurate. The trigger is very crisp but a bit heavy during live fire, so I made some mistakes shooting low-left. I absolutely had no problems shooting 8x8 inches steel plates at 25 and 30 yards, hitting them 9 out of 10 and sometimes 10 out of 10, 1 shot per second, more or less.
The sights are well adjusted and are set for the combat hold.
Recoil is a little snappy with NATO spec ammo. The grip is perfect. Slide stop is a little hard to use as a slide release but I think it'll improve with use.
I'm happy with this purchase. It's not a Walther P99, it's not a SIG P226, it's not a Grand Power Q100, it's not a Pardini GT9-1 but it has found a good place in my safe. It could replace my P99 as a nightstand gun because of the thumb safety. Time will tell.

5-SHOTS

Excellent review and as usual, a great (and extensive), group of close-up photos to go along with it! Thanks for posting!

Barrel "wear" after 200 NATO spec ammo. Sand blasted stainless steel finish shows signs pretty quickly. The slide shows no wear.

Update: my SIG-Sauer P226 AL SO magazines work in my Taurus G3. They are longer than the 15 rounds G3 magazines so they stick out.
Not viceversa of course as the 15 rounds G3 magazines being too short. I don't have a 17 rounds G3 magazine to try in the P226.

Love the pics and thanks for sharing.

I've got the G3C.
Congratulations.
I think Taurus hit and home run with the G3 and the G3C. The only move Taurus has to do right now is to use the same Glock style rear sight cut adopted in the G3C, in the G3 also. I see no reason to have different rear sight cuts between the G3 and the G3C.

That price of over $300.00 is way over-priced for a G3c, in my opinion.

I know that gun prices are way up, and if you really really need a gun then maybe this is an option, but you can get a SAR B6 for the same price and its a much better gun. For a few bucks more you can get a Turkish striker-fired, and again they are much better guns.

When the G3 and G3c were selling for around $200.00 I thought they were a great deal. I purchased my Taurus Millennium G2 PT111 for 184.99 + 12.99 S&H. I haven't had any problems with it. It is not a great gun, it is an OK gun that I got at a great price..

I shot another 200 rounds with my G3.
This time I shot Sellier & Bellot 124gr. FMJ-RN.
Accuracy was good but not great; it seems to me it liked Winchester 124gr. FMJ-RN, I shot in the first range session, better. Still working on the trigger but near the end of the range session I think I have understood better how to place my trigger finger for better results, a thing that seems very important with this pistol.
Round count is now 400 with no problems whatsoever.
