I’ve been carrying around a 2” SP101 in the high desert and mountains for the last decade. It’s been a reliable companion but I always wanted six rounds and a 3” barrel for a bit better odds with the frequent problem black bears around here.

This girl came home with me today, my first ever Colt anything. Love the trigger and lockup! Hope to shoot her this weekend with reloads. Woods ammo will be 180g Buffalo Bore hardcast.

I looked at one of those just recently. Beautiful gun. Too nice for me to want to carry though.

Give us a range report after you get some trigger time.

All due respect, but you've gotta find something else -- new -- to say about the new Colts...

I'll take it, bent triggerguard and all... this is starting to look like the best all-around revolver in my collection.

OP, great choice. Pretty sure you'll love it!

This is a public forum, and unlike certain people that want to limit our rights, I’ll speak my mind. It’s my right as an American.

Nice looking piece. I haven't really paid much attention to the Colt offerings, as I'm an admitted S&W fanboy. What Smith frame size is similar to the KC? It looks small in your hand in the pic.
Looks very carry friendly in the woods or for CC.

Those are great looking sixguns! Now I need to tell myself over and over how much I don't need one.....Thanks guys!

I’ve got big hands, to compare the King Cobra to a smith, she’s probably between J and K frame.

I’ll not be carrying her around town but it would certainly work.

My King Cobra Target has been terrific.
